My Inspiration

A little background and my image of Inspiration.

I have been learning alot about photography, my camera, lighting, apeture, shutter speed and ISO and so on. I have also been learning where i find my insipration, my style, my niche in this field. I own my camera and I only own it because I lost my Brother-in-law. He was really into photography and loved this camera! He was such a specail person and i really miss him! Its never been the same since passed.
So enough with the sadness, i said all that to tell you that i draw my inspiration from him. I pray he is looking down on me and helping to guide me thru this journey! I know he would be proud that i am trying to follow in his foot steps. Its as if i will always have that little piece of him with me. Like he is on the journey with me. So that is one person i want to say Thank you to and so much more! If only we could send notes to heaven!

Next and most importantly, My Children. They are my little Inspiration givers lol!
Not only do they inspire the pictures i take but they inspire to go after what it is i want with photogrpahy. How can i teach them to go after their dreams and follow their heart if i dont do it myself. I want to set that example for them. No matter how big or small it my be, go for it. Make it happen! Make your dreams a reality! It is possible. I am so proud to be their mama! I am happy to capture special moments in their life and mine. I want every picture to bring me back to the moment i took the picture. The way i felt, the way they talked or walked. The funny things they did or said. I want my picture to help me remember all of that! I love to photograph them! If you saw my computer and the number of pictures on it..well lets just say you wouldnt believe it! I really think i have the most photographed children out there lol!!!! But a picture to me, really is PRICELESS!

Here are a few pictures :)

Black and White

I have to tell you, I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE Black and White pictures!

There is just something about the emotion i feel when looking at B&W.

I don't know exactly what it is but i just always seem to find myself trying each picture i edit in B&W.

Not everyone speaks to me, but man there are some that i just LOVE!!!

OK I'm done lol! I just had to get that out of my system!

Tomato Horn Worm

Well last night we were outside looking at our beautiful plants. Well they really are not that beautiful now but they were. Anyway, we were feeding our fish and looking at the plants and my husband pointed out to our son this worm that was on my tomato plant. I have been waiting for this tomato plant to get a flower or some sort of sign that it was going to produce at least one little cherry tomato for me. But nothing, not one little stem or anything. Now if you know me you know the ONLY thing i cant kill is a Hosta. So I have done really well this year with helping my husband water our flowers and keeping them alive. My mother in law gave me this start to the tomato plant and i wanted to teach my son about the whole growing your food and then eating it. Well this plant was a dud, at least i thought. After a quick phone call to my aunt who raises butterflies i knew she would know what kind of worm/caterpillar i had hanging on my plant. Actually there were 3 of them. So she told me that they are Tomato Horn Worms and TO GET RID OF IT!!!! So I tried like crazy to take them off the stems, let me tell you those little things hold on! So i got all 3 off and put them in the woods. So we'll see if anything happens to my plant now. Who knows, little guys probably did their damage already! So here is one of the worms i had to remove!

(they have a scary horn on the back)

These are some pictures i took for a friend of mine. She is a talented photographer herself. As we know its more difficult to take pictures and be in them at the same time. So i snapped them for her :)

(She is also the one that created the banner you see above. If you are interested in one for yourself or someone else you should get in touch, you will see her link over on the right side of the blog. Get yours today)

The Begining~

Well where to begin. My name is Misty and i am a Hobby Photographer. I love to shoot with natural light. Its just me and my Pentax! I shoot all on location and hope to one day have a studio that i could do more with. Until then, this is how i am learning my way. I absolutely love everything about photography. I love meeting new people. I love getting that one shot that you just LOVE. I love to hear the feedback from my customers. I love talking with and meeting other photographers and just finding my own creative edge. I am trying to find my way and my style. Its been so much fun! I cant wait to see how far this will take me.

This is my 2nd blog now. I am excited to start fresh and from the beginning! I hope you enjoy what it is that i have to show and say.

ENJOY!
